If your child attended a Music Camp this past summer, you are eligible to receive a Camp Grant from the D103 Music Boosters Organization. To apply for the 2018 grant, complete the attached form and turn in with required documentation to a district 103 music teacher by November 30th. A portion of your expenses for music camp will be reimbursed for the previous summer! Music Boosters offers these grants to encourage year-round musical instrument participation, increase student enthusiasm for musical learning, and to support our music faculty which find these grants valuable to their music programs. FAQs How much money is available? The amount of Music Boosters funds available for grants varies from year to year and is influenced by the number of applicants. It is not a merit or financial need-based grant. Grants are awarded at the discretion of the Board. Who can apply for a summer music grant? All band, orchestra and choral students in grades 4-8 at the time of the application may apply for a grant if they have attended a summer music camp or workshop in the same year. The camp must specifically provide musical instruction for skills used during band, orchestra or chorus as the primary camp or instructional experience. How do students apply for a grant? If a student has attended a summer music camp they may apply for a grant in the fall, after their camp experience, by completing a d103 Music Boosters Music Grant Application and submitting it, along with proof of attendance and proof of payment. Applications can be downloaded from our website, and will also be available in class from their band, chorus or orchestra teacher. Completed forms should be turned in to the student's band, chorus or orchestra teacher. If you have any question, please contact us at d103musicboosters@gmail.com.
